5 Videos To Cheer Up Your Monday

Draw dirty things! But keep them clean.
This rather talented spanish artist has an accute ability to draw rather filthy objects on a simple piece of lined paper, before managing to turn them all, one by one, into seemless works of art worthy of the Tate Modern. Ok.. perhaps that was a little far but seriously, this guy is talented but must need some serious fixed asset management to keep track of all the paper he goes through.

Surfing Wipeouts!
Some of these guys are pro’s, and some, clearly aren’t. This is an awsome little compilation of some really painful looking surfing wipeouts. Watch the guy in the second video, he paddled as quickly as he could but he just wasn’t quick enough! That’s what happens when you don’t quite manage to catch a wave, you get catapulted and he should’ve bought some animal boardshorts to be honest, that wetsuit is a little umm.. gay.

And the Mini-skirt blooper!
What sort of a monday would it be without a classic mini-skirt blooper? Unfortunately this particular one is a set up (I much prefer them when they’re real) and the young lady politely asks passing gentlemen to hold her ladder while she climbs it to clean the window. Naturally some look away in embarassment while other just downright stare… I know which I’d do!

Water + Board + Boat

Wakeboarding has been on the up for a couple of years now, I used to wakeboard over in the Philippines and it was an absolute delight. Admittedly though, over there its hard to find a decent lake or wakeboard boats so we used to do cable wakeboarding, which is where a very long cable rotats around the edges of a lake suspended by strategically positioned pylons all the way along. The line which you hold onto is connected to the cable rather than the back of a boat. There is no ‘wake’ ironically, so cable wakeboarding tends to be a lot more about kickers (ramps) and sliders (rails).

I was surfing around on YouTube today and came across this great video of some guys tearing up a lake in…. somewhere.. they don’t say!

These guys are awsome, backflips when wakeboarding are called Tantrums – which these guys have down to a tee. The Tantrum is the sort of trick that will either end you up in bed with a supermodel or in bed with a broken jaw at the Garden Hospital!

Tunes in The Pool

Obviously keeping those pecks in shape means some form of excersize is required, I don’t like to let any manflab build up, so my personal sport of choice is swimming. Now swimming, joyful as it may be, can get incredibly boring, incredibly fast, when you’re doing it regularly. For years I’ve done jogging with music, weight training with music, and even played basketball to music, but the pool has always been the one place I go that my music can’t come with me.. until now.

There is a small company in the UK called H2OLife that supply a magnificent little gadget called the ‘Freestyle Audio’ swimming mp3 player. Its fully submersible for swimming or other water related activities, and it is also very very shockproof. Here’s a video of it being dropped off a roof!

Looks like it’d last, and in comparison the iPod Nano does look pretty flimsy. I know I know, the Nano wasnt made to be dropped off roofs, before all the seriously hardcore Apple fans start screaming. But nevertheless, which will last longer? Thats not a difficult general decision fom my point of view by any means.

As swimming mp3 players go, I honstly can’t say I’ve seen a better one, so if you’re going to get a swim mp3 player, I’d definitely recommend it!
